The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that Pam Knechtel has joined the Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club. Her role is to mentor the club's new coaches.
Pam has over 35 years playing, refereeing and coaching experience in volleyball. At Southwood Secondary School, Pam has coached all 4 junior and senior boys and girls volleyball teams each year for many years. She also still plays and is a carded referee.
Pam has recently helped Scorpions Coach Renee Michiels on a part time basis.
Paul Langan, President of the Scorpions Volleyball Club states, " I have been trying to recruit Pam to help at our club for over 6 years. She is just so busy coaching, playing and refereeing. We are so fortunate that she has agreed to take a more active role and mentor our new coaches in the club.
I respect Pam's life long passion for volleyball and helping youth. Our club is in a much better place now with Pam helping our new coaches grow their knowledge and love for the sport of volleyball."

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is very proud to announce the following coaches to the 12U Grils competitive girls team. Tracy Forshaw will be the Head Coach of the Scorpions 12U Girls Team. Her assistant coaches will be Karen Omand and Ciarra Collison.
Tracy returns to the club for her 6th year as a head coach. Karen has been with the club for 8 years. Ciarra is a former Scorpions competitive player who is returning for her second season as an Assistant Coach.
Paul Langan, club founder states," I wish my daughter was 12yrs old again so I could have these coaches. Players lucky enough to make this team will be part of a fun and positive learning environment. Being part of this team will be like winning the trifecta!

The Scorpions Volleyball Club is very proud to announce the hiring of David Duhan as Assistant Coach for the Scorpions 15U Green Girls team for the 2019-20 season.
David Duhan is a former University of Guelph Gryphon varsity volleyball player. He is still actively playing indoor and beach volleyball.
Kayla Gaudette is the head coach for the 15u Girls Green team.
Paul Langan, founder of the club states," I was already excited about Kayla coaching her team again this season and what they could achieve. Adding a quality person such as David Duhan as an assistant coach will definitely take this team to another level. "

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that Amanda Wudarzewski will be returning to be the head coach of the Scorpions 15U/16U White Team that plays in the Southwest Volleyball League.
Amanda is a former varsity player for Brock University women's volleyball team. She still plays competitive indoor and beach volleyball. Amanda is also a mountain bike rider who won medals riding for the University of Waterloo and still competes in races.
Paul Langan states, " Amanda's first year coaching for us was a big success. We are happy she said yes to coaching again this season for the Scorpions. She is definitely a coach we have identified as being a positive force in the club for years to come. "

Tara Omand, Katelynn Monteiro and Jessica Frias to Coach Scorpions 1 Developmental Fall Indoor Program
The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club are proud to announce that Tara Omand, Katelynn Monteiro and Jessica Frias will lead our youth coed volleyball fall program for those born Born 2008-2009.
Tara Omand, is currently in the nursing program at Conestoga College Tara is our the coordinator of our beach volleyball program for the same age group. She is also a former assistant coach and player with the Scorpions. Katelynn Monteiro, a teacher, has coached in our competitive program the last two years. Jessica Frias,a teacher, is in her 4th year of helping coaching with the Scorpions 1 program.
Paul Langan, club president states, 'With the stepping down of the former leader of this program John Forman, we needed to re-energize this program and we have. Tara, Katelynn and Jessica are three dynamic coaches. We are so fortunate to have these three exciting coaches step forward to coach in this critical program for us."

The Scorpions Volleyball Club are proud to announce that Philip Kingswood and Michelle Wobst will be returning to coach the Scorpions Boys 14U team for the 2019-20 indoor competitive season.
Philip has over 20 years coaching and playing experience in the sport of volleyball. He played for Sheridan College for three years and then went on to coach at West Side Volleyball Club (Rexdale, ON), as a head coach for U14 to U18, for approx. 5 seasons. He also coached college level volleyball for 5 seasons at Tyndale College in Toronto, ON. He has coached younger ages also.
Michelle Wobst has been playing competitive volleyball for over 30 years.

The Scorpions Volleyball Club is proud to announce that Ariel Castromayor and Tracey Banumas have agreed to coach the 14U Gold Scorpions Girls Volleyball Team.
Ariel is entering this third year coaching with the club and is a former head coach of the Conestoga Condors men's varsity team. Tracey is entering her fourth year coaching for the club.

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that David Tiet and Lisa Buttazzoni are returning to coach our competitive 13U Girls Green Team.
David will be the head coach and Lisa will be the assistant coach for the team.
