Siemens Canada donates $10,000 to Scorpions Volleyball

Siemens Canada is donating $10,000 to Scorpions Youth Volleyball in Cambridge, ON in
recognition of employee Scott Nameth, winner of the organization’s Greatest Community
Supporter Contest.

The contest aims recognize employees who are leaders in their community through volunteering
and fundraising activities. To enter, Siemens employees from across the country shared
their stories of community involvement.

Applications were shortlisted by Siemens employees
through online voting and winners were selected by a committee made up of members of the
Executive Management team that oversee Siemens’ CSR activities.

Two $10,000 donations were awarded to winners in the fundraising and volunteering
categories with two additional $5,000 donations awarded to the runners-up in each category.

The winner of the volunteering category, Scott Nameth of Cambridge, ON, chose to grant the
donation to the Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club. Nameth organized a developmental volleyball
program for boys in Grades 7 and 8 for the club, engaging local youths to participate in sports.

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club, based in Cambridge, ON, is a non-profit organization
that aims to get youths physically active in the community through playing volleyball in a safe,
fun and affordable environment. The club has experienced significant growth since its
inception in 2010.
