 The Scorpions U15 Green team participated in the U15 Club division of the Motor City Madness Volleyball Tournament in Detroit Michigan this past weekend. There were 48 teams registered in the division.
After play on Saturday the Scorpions U15 Green team were second in their pool after a pair 3 set wins beating the U15 Dead Frogs VBC from Kalamazoo Mi. (26-24, 14-25, 15-6) and Unified White U15 from Oakland County Mi. (23-25, 25-22, 15-10). Their only loss Saturday was in three sets to 2GVCI Turquoise from Columbus Ohio (9-25, 25-17, 15-10). Sundays play began with a challenge match. Their 2-0 win over MiElite Copper from Michigan (25-21, 25-22) secured their spot in the Gold division with the top 8 teams in the tournament. In their quarter-final the Scorpions defeated Unified U-15 Blue team 2-0 (25-21, 25-22). In the semi-finals the Scorpions were topped 2-0 by the Far Out U15 Red team from Grand Rapids Michigan (25-11, 25-19).
