For over 20 years I have helped with various sports organizations in a variety of functions. I have seen the population double in the area where we live and there is a strong need to provide healthy options for our young people. I thoroughly enjoyed watching as my daughter and her friends played competitive volleyball in other cities and provinces. I also noticed locally there was no program to teach young people the basics of volleyball in a fun way. My goal was simple when I started the club in 2010. Get kids off the computer and have them physically active playing volleyball in a fun, safe, affordable environment. I have been lucky to have a supportive family and strong volunteer base that has allowed the club to become very successful. The City of Cambridge in 2012 named the SCORPIONS YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CLUB as the SPORTS ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR AWARD. We went from 3 coaches and 49 registrants in 2010 to 37 coaches 1,000 registrants in 2017. THANK YOU! To keep growing we need more volunteers to help. Contact us and get involved in our Scorpions family.. Wishing you the best life can give you., Paul Langan Founder, Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club |
