All the players finished their playing careers playing competitive indoor or beach volleyball for the club. Here are the players and the schools they are playing with.

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club Inc. would like to announce their Annual General Meeting we will be held Sunday November 18th, 2018 at the Sunbridge Hotel, 200 Holiday Inn Drive, Cambridge at 6:30pm.
Any players, parents, and coaches currently registered in the club can attend. Agenda items must be submitted to the firstname.lastname@example.org by November 11th, 2018.
The club, in the spirit of continuous improvement and due diligence, has hired an auditor to review the clubs finances and provide recommendations for improvement. The auditor will present their results at the AGM.

Parents and players, Please mark on the calendar this Friday October 19th at Preston High School, Cambridge. Our Coaches will take on the Scorpions 17u and 18U game. It is a fundraiser for our 18U Scorpions academic fund.

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that U.of Waterloo Warrior Kelsey Caza and former St. Clair Saint and Niagara Knight Rachel Rivers are joining our 17U coaching staff. The head coach is Tracy Liburd.
Kelsey returns to the club where she played before university. Kelsey still attends the University of Waterloo in their Recreation and Leisure Program. Rachel, was a CCAA academic all-Canadian and also a OCAA first team all -star. She has completed her studies.
Paul Langan, Scorpions President states, " I could not be happier than to have such exceptional athletes join our coaching staff. Kelsey and Rachel have already proven what they can do on the court. I can't wait to see them develop as coaches in our club."
Both new coaches will benefit from being taught by head coach Tracy Liburd.

The Scorpions Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that former University of Waterloo varsity women's volleyball team player Kayla Wierts will be an assistant coach for the Scorpions 16U Green team for the 2018-19 indoor season.
Kayla played 5 years for the University of Waterloo achieving an amazing Academic All-Canadian status each year there.
Paul Langan, founder of Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club, " Kayla had a remarkable career at the U. of Waterloo not only playing volleyball but excelling in academics also. I am sure she will inspire our young athletes to reach their goals both on and off the court."

The Scorpions are very proud to announce that Lisa James will be coaching our 14U boys competitive team for the 2018-19 fall and indoor season.
Lisa has an extensive coaching record. She as coached at the club, high school and university level. Her coaching and playing experience spans 20 years. She still plays competitive elite indoor and beach volleyball. To see her extensive biography CLICK HERE.
James Evans, currently on leave from the club, is anticipated to return in January to coach with Lisa.

After meeting with her I am excited about having her in the club. I look forward to seeing the 14U boys team improve with her coaching them."
The Scorpions are looking for more boys to come out to their Get Ready for Tryouts Camp and Competitive Team Tryouts in September. We are looking for boys with potential so please bring them out. Here is the link to the tryouts and camp for boys and girls.
It takes a lot of work to run the Scorpions Youth Volleyball. The club is busy year round with indoor and beach non competitive and competitive programs. Thankfully the Scorpions volunteer board members are up to the challenge.

The Scorpions Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that Megan DeMille will be the head coach of the Scorpions 16U Gold competitive girls team for the 2018-19 indoor season.
Megan have over 20 years experience playing competitive volleyball. She currently plays in elite indoor and beach adult league. Megan est professeur de français dans la région de waterloo. She has been and continues to be a volleyball coach in the schools where she teaches. She is also a well respected rugby player.
Paul Langan, founder Scorpions Volleyball Club states, "When interviewing Megan I knew she would be perfect coaching for us. Her blend of coaching and playing experience is what we were looking for. Assistant Coach Jessna Marmo has a strong technical knowledge of the game. Megan and Jessna together will make a fantastic coaching combination this season."

The Scorpions Competitive Team Tryouts are September 20th to 23rd. They are free to attend.
We want you to be prepared for the Tryouts so on SEPTEMBER 15th and 16th at Monsignor Doyle School, 185 Myers Road, Cambridge, we are having our GET READY FOR TRYOUTS CAMP!
