The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that former University of Waterloo Warrior player Samantha Warner will be coaching the Scorpions 16u Girls Competitive Team for the 2022-23 season. In her final year at the University of Waterloo Warriors, Samantha played an important part in the Warriors winning an OAU Bronze medal. Sam Warner has since been an assistant for the club for several years. This past summer she has been head coach for the Scorpions Junior Duos competitive beach duos program. She was be assisted by veteran coach, and former University of Windsor player, Renee Michiels and Jaaziah Colquhoun, former Scorpions varsity player. Co-President Tracy Knudsen states," Samantha is a dynamic coach. She brings an extensive playing background and is building an impressive coaching history. The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club are very proud to announce that Renee Michiels and Samantha Warner are going to coach the Scorpions 16U Girls Green Team.
Renee Michiels is a former University of Windsor Lancer varsity player. She has over 15 years experience playing in adult women's leagues. She is returning to the Scorpions for her 4th year as the Head Coach of the 17U Green Girls Team. Samantha Warner is a former Scorpion club player and varsity player with the University of Waterloo Warriors. Samantha Warner will be the assistant coach for the Scorpions 17U Green Team. Paul Langan, President of Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club states," It is amazing the small community of Ayr can produce such quality coaches like Renee, Samantha and Pam Knechtel. Renne and Samantha work great together. There is a very positive vibe on their team. I am looking forward to watch that team in 2020-21."
