14U Boys, 15U Strikers and 15U Synergy MedalAnother triple medal weekend for the Scorpions Volleyball Club. The 15U Synergy Girls continued their history making season with another medal in Premier Division. They captured a Silver medal.
The Scorpions 14U Boys captured their third medal of the season,a bronze, playing up and age group in Chatham at an OVA 15U tournament. The Scorpions 15U Strikers Girls team returned to their medal winning ways with their second medal of the season. The won a bronze medal at a tournament in Stratford beating the Waterdown Raiders, Hamilton MVC, Milton Edge and Kitchener Predators.

Scorpions 14U Girls Team Win Silver BracketThe Scorpions 14U Girls Fuzion Team traveled to Lansing Michigan recently and came home with a Gold Medal in the Silver Bracket of a large President's Day Tournament.

The 14U Scorpions Fuzion Team won a bronze medal in the recent Ontario Volleyball Association held at the Rockway Mennonite College, Kitchener. With the win the Scorpions Team move up to the Premier Division the highest level of youth volleyball in Ontario.
In Pool Play the Scorpions Fuzion defeated Kitchener Predators Impact 25-19, 15-25, 15-13. They then defeated Kitchener Predators Ambush 25-21, 25-22. In the Quarter Finals the Scorpions Fuzion defeated the Guelph Grizzlies 25-4, 25-16. In the semi-finals the Scorpions lost to the Great Whites 22-25, 20-25. The Scorpions needed to win the Bronze medal Match to move up to the Premier Division. They defeated the Kitchener Predators Ambush in straight sets. 25-14, 25-15. Head Coach Tracy Liburd, Assistant Coach Andy Watson. 15U SYNERGY WIN SCORPIONS FIRST PREMIER MEDAL The Scorpions 15U Synergy girls competitive team on December 12, 2015 travelled to Hamilton to play in the Premier Division Ontario Volleyball Association Tournament.
They did what no other Scorpions team could do before them by capturing a bronze medal in the highest division in youth volleyball in Ontario. In pool play they lost a close one in 3 sets against London Forest City Oaks L 23-25,W 25-14,L 13-15. they rebounded to beat Hamilton in a gritty three set battle.L 23-25,W 25-17,W 15-12 It did not get any easier, as in the quarter finals, the Scorpions needed three sets to defeat London LVC Intensity W 25-10, L 21-25, W 15-12. In the semi finals the Scorpions lost a tough match in three sets to Halton Hurricanes W 26-24,L 16-25, L 9-15. It set up the Bronze Medal showdown match against the same London Forest City Oaks team that had beaten the Scorpions team earlier. The Scorpions got their revenge and beat London in straight sets 25-16 and 29-27. Paul Langan, club founder states," We have had many good solid teams in the last five years but it takes something special to win a medal in the Premier Division. By the Scorpions Synergy 15U winning the bronze medal we have raised the bar for all Scorpions teams to meet and exceed." In the semi finals they beat Brantford Youth Volleyball Club 25-16, 25-7 and in the gold medal game they beat Stratford 25-19, 25-17. The Scorpions 14U Fuzion Girls Team travelled to their first OVA Tournament of the season in Hamilton and came home with a GOLD medal. In the pool play the Scorpions defeated the Guelph Grizzlies Red 25-10, 25-16 and Hamilton Smash Team Teal 25-10, 25-4.
In the quarter finals they defeated the Scorpions White team 25-8,25-17. In the semi-finals they defeated the Waterdown Raiders 25-23, 25-14. In the finals they defeated the Guelph Grizzlies Black 25-9, 25-17. With the win the Scorpions move up to the Championship Division. They beat Toronto Unity 25 - 20 25 - 13, Kitchener Predators 25 - 18 25 - 23, Toronto Phoenix 25 - 17 25 - 19, Niagara Rapids 25 - 17 25 - 17 and Leaside Black 25 - 19 26 - 24 Team members are: Matt Sheffield, Sam Growden, Filip Marik, Alex Blagojevic, Liam MacArthur, Britton Holman, Matthew Schmidt, Lenny Lombardi, Nate Lachambre,Sebastian Siedlec,(Absent Sean Jackson) Head Coach Vaughan McMillan, Assistant Coach Bill Scott. The SCORPIONS 15U SYNERGY team traveled to Stratford to play in the first OVA tournament of the season and won a GOLD medal.
