WHEN/WHERE: Wednesday Night, Sept.29th at Heritage College, 175 Holiday Inn Drive Cambridge, ON AGES/TIME: Born 2007 at 6:00-7:30pm and Born 2006 and earlier at 7:30pm-9:00pm Preregistration Required - Free to Tryout. Players/Coaches wear masks, No spectators allowed. The White teams: a) Get one night training with their White competitive team and coach, b) They still register and play in regular development program, (grade 8s Monday night, High School thursday nights) c) Enter into Southwest Tournaments and any other invitational tournaments non-OVA. d) It is competitive volleyball at low cost without the hassles. The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is proud to announce their Fall Tournaments at the Cambridge Sports Park in Cambridge Ontario. It will be 6 on 6 format, indoor rules, played outside on the sand courts. There are two girls tournament dates and one boys tournament date. It is an excellent way for clubs to get their indoor teams ready for the upcoming season. Hosting the tournaments outside on the sand courts give players a chance to play and and parents get to watch volleyball in a low risk environment. We will follow any required Covid-19 protocols. There will be washroom, restaurant facilities and free parking available next to the courts. Here is the schedule: October 3rd Sunday - GIRLS, 16U, 17U, 18U October 17th Sunday - GIRLS, 14U, 15U October 24th Sunday - BOYS - 14U, 15U, 16U The cost is $150.00 a team. There are no medals or playoffs. A minimum 3 games for each team. The weather can be variable this time of year. We might move the tournament by a day depending on the weather. Tracy has been coaching and playing for over 18 years and is returning for her 9th year to the club. Kelsey Caza is a former Scorpion and University of Waterloo Warrior varsity player that is returning to coach for her 4th year. Paul Langan, President of Scorpions Volleyball states, " It will be exciting to watch Coaches Tracy and Kelsey train and coach this team. Both coaches have what is needed to build a championship team." Tracy returns to the club for her 8th year as a head coach. Tracy is also a member of the club's board. Doug Bond brings a wealth of experience to the club. He has 22 years coaching with the Aurora Storm Volleyball. He has coached 32 competitive teams coached, and won over 100 medals. The Scorpions will have Boys and Girls competitive teams from 11u-18u for this indoor season. Tryouts are being scheduled for September. It is important to preregister so the club can identify any athletes interested in attending the tryouts. There is no charge to complete the online preregistration form. Ariel is entering this fifth year coaching with the club and is a former head coach of the Conestoga Condors men's varsity team. Denis is joining Ariel as his assistant.
