Cambridge Times CAMBRIDGE – The Scorpions Volleyball Club will be setting up 25 grass courts for a youth volleyball tournament on June 30 at Bill Struck Field in Riverside Park.
Play will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a cost of $5. Players can sign up individually and do not need a team to enter, but the age is limited, for boys and girls born from 1996 to 2003. “We are very proud to be partnering with the City of Cambridge to put on this historic youth sports event in Cambridge. This will be the largest youth outdoor volleyball tournament ever held in the Waterloo Region,” said Scorpions founder Paul Langan. The club will also be donating $1 from each registration to Kidney Cancer Canada. For more information or to register, go to the tournaments page at www.scorpionsbeach.ca or call Paul Langan 519-654-0089.
