The 17U Scorpions travelled to Welland to play up in an 18U volleyball tournament. The team came back with their first Bronze medal of the season.
In pool play they beat the Twin Bridges Thunder in two straight 25-11, 25-8. They then lost a close one to the Waterloo Tigers Red 20--25 and 23-25.First round of the playoffs they beat the Ancaster Lions in three sets. 25-16, 22-25,15-8. In the second round of playoffs they won a very tight match beating Windsor South County in two straight 25-23,29-27. In the semis the Scorpions lost to Oakville Thunder White in two straight 10-25,21-25. The Scorpions 17U saved their best game for the Bronze medal match. It was against the Waterloo Tigers Red who had beaten them in pool play. The first set had the Scorpions dig deep to win. They were down match point 21-24 to the Tigers but came back to win the set in a thriller 30-28. They won the second set 25-20 and claimed the bronze. The Scorpions Volleyball club 18U Girls team travelled to the Niagra area this past weekend and came home with a gold medal. The Scorpions started slowing beating Stratford 17Us 2 sets to 1. The Scorpions woke up and turned up the heat. They beat the Brant Tornadoes and Stratford 18U teams in straight sets 2-0. In the semis they defeated the Guelph Grizzlies 17U 2-1 before claiming the gold medal by defeating the Oakville Thunder 17Us 2-0.

WireService.ca Press Release (02/05/2015) Cambridge, ON - The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club indoor beach spring session will offer a "Competitive Beach Duos Level 1 Training Program" starting April 12th, 2015. The Scorpions Club will have approximately 600 players in their beach program this summer. Coach Janet Cobbs-Mulholland brought her 14U Scorpions girls competitive volleyball team to West Seneca, New York for a tournament and won a GOLD medal. That was the third GOLD medal of the season or the team.
In pool play they beat Niagara Frontier Blue 2 set to 0, tied Niagara Frontier 14U 1-1 and swept VolleyFX 13U in straight sets. In the quarter finals they beat the Chill VC 2-0. In the semis they beat Niagara Frontier 13-0. It was an All-Canadian final with the Scorpions defeating Defensa 2 sets to 1. Coming in ranked #6 of 10 teams in the tournament, the Scorpions wanted to make a statement. They started out beating 7th ranked London LVC Fire - 25-16,23-25, 15-13.
Then the Slammers proved they meant business by taking down the #1 ranked Kitchener Predators, 25-23, 24-26,15-13. In the quarter finals they beat the 4th ranked Niagara Rapids 14U - 25-17, 17-25, in the semi finals they defeated the 5th ranked Niagara Rapids 15U 25-14, 25-17. In the finals against the 2nd ranked Halton Hurricanes they lost in a tight three set battle 25-19, 18-25, 9-15.
