The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club has met the criteria to become an accredited club through Volleyball Canada.

WireService.ca Press Release (03/03/2015) Cambridge, ON - The Ontario Volleyball Association has announced that the Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club Inc. of Cambridge, ON, qualified as an accredited volleyball club for 2015 by Volleyball Canada.

Volleyball Canada is the national governing body for volleyball in Canada.

The Volleyball Canada Club Accreditation Program recognizes and rewards the contributions exceptional clubs make to the development of volleyball in Canada. It is awarded annually to clubs who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in several areas including coach, athlete and volunteer development, accountable governance, gender balance, and club capacity, among other criteria.

The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is the largest in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area. The club has grown dramatically in their short 4 year existence. In 2014, the club had over 1000 registrations in their beach and indoor programs. Their beach volleyball program is one of the largest in Canada.

Paul Langan, Founder of Scorpions Volleyball Club states, "The Scorpions Volleyball Club is very appreciative of being recognized by Volleyball Canada as meeting the requirements for their 2015 Club Accreditation Program. It has been a wonderful challenge to go from 30 registrants in 2010 to over 1,000 in 2014. Great board members, coaches, volunteers, players and parents have made this accomplishment possible. We look forward to continued growth and development as a club. This accreditation confirms that we are on the right track! "
