The 13U Scorpions Green team travelled to Kitchener for their first OVA tournament. They came home with a SILVER MEDAL
In pool play they beat the Kitchener Predators Tempo 25-19 25-19, and the Guelph Grizzlies Red 25-11, 25-14. In playoffs they beat the Brant Tornados 25-12, 25-15. In the semi finals they beat Kitchener Predators Infernos 12-25, 25-15,15-7. They lost the finals to the Tempo 25-12, 22-25 and 12-15. The team is Delaney Aitken,Riley Love,Hannah Chambers,Lily Corkill,Mia McCracken,Ashley Van Rooyens, Laura Fitero,Makaila Squires,Chantal Lapierre,Parveena Padum and Kendra Bryce. Coaches are Andrew Aitken and Lee Boyadjian. Early Season Triumphs for the 15U BOYSThe Scorpions 15U Boys team travelled to London for their first OVA tournament os the season. They had already claimed a gold medal in pre-season action. Coach Vaughan McMillan and assistant coach Bill Scott had the boys game ready as they brought home their second GOLD medal of season.

SCORPIONS TEAM NEVER LOSES A SET ALL DAY! The Scorpions 14U Fuzion Girls Team travelled to their first OVA Tournament of the season in Hamilton and came home with a GOLD medal. In the pool play the Scorpions defeated the Guelph Grizzlies Red 25-10, 25-16 and Hamilton Smash Team Teal 25-10, 25-4.
In the quarter finals they defeated the Scorpions White team 25-8,25-17. In the semi-finals they defeated the Waterdown Raiders 25-23, 25-14. In the finals they defeated the Guelph Grizzlies Black 25-9, 25-17. With the win the Scorpions move up to the Championship Division. In Pool play they beat the Stratford Stingers 23:25,25:12,15:10 and then lost a close one to London Forest City Green 25:21, 13:21, 10:15. In the Quarter Finals they beat the Georgetown Impact 25-15, 20-25, 15-12. They then lost in the Semi Finals to South County Teal 20-25, 21-25. In the BRONZE medal game the Scorpions defeated the Kitchener Predators 21-25, 25-15, 15-11. With the 3rd place finish the Scorpions will now move up to the Select division of the OVA" Team members are Brianne Banderob,Ashley Mulholland,Lauren Reycraft,Liana Roller, Tove Petersen, Rachel Maier,Grace Heath,Megan Richer and Emerald Grob. In the Gold medal game they beat London LVC in two straight sets also. Niagara Fury 15U (25-19, 25-13) In the quarter finals they defeated the EVP Eagles 25-17, 24-26,17-15.- In the semi finals the Strikers defeated Niagara Fury in straight sets. 25-19, 25-13. In the Gold medal match they lost 25-15, 25-13 to the Hamilton Smash. In the round robin they beat London Forest City and the Stratford Cobras in straight sets. They then split a set with London LVC Heat.
In the quarters they beat London Striking Sharks in straight sets. In the semis they defeated Hamilton MAC in three sets. In the finals the Scorpions lost in two close games to Barrie Elites to capture a Silver Medal.
