The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club will be hosting a Boys Volleyball Development Clinics for 4 weeks; Saturday February 26th, Sat March 5th, 19th and 26th, 2022 from 9am-10:30am at Heritage College, 175 Holiday Inn Drive, Cambridge, ON
The fee is $50.00 for the four 1.5 hour sessions. Phil Kingswood & Michelle Wobst from our Scorpions 16U Boys competitive team will be the lead coaches during the sessions. The Boys Development Clinics is open to all boys born; 2013-2009. We follow all public health guidelines regarding masking and vaccination. QR codes must be shown for those required by provincial regulations. Masks are required to be worn on the court. Scorpions Boys "Get Active" Volleyball Program Starts August 12th - 3 Wednesdays in August Outdoors8/2/2020 ![]() The Scorpions Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that they will be offering a program in August aimed at getting boys active outside playing volleyball. The program will run 3 Wednesday nights August 12,19 and 26th. It will be run by all our boys team head coaches. It is open to any boys born 2004-2009. Boys UPDATE: All ages times - 6:30pm- 8:00pm The cost is $30. for all three sessions. UPDATE: Location is outdoors at the sand courts located at Cambridge Sports Park, 1001 Franklin Blvd. Cambridge We will follow the Scorpions Stage 3 Protocols. Parents will be required to complete a waiver before the 1st session. As well parents will be required to complete an online Health Evaluation Questionnaire also for their son. Devon is a former competitive player with the Forest City Volleyball Club. He has been playing volleyball for 14yrs. He also has a history of coaching youth soccer. Paul Langan, Scorpions President states,"The continual growth of our boys program has necessitated the hiring of another competitive team coach. We need someone with a lot of energy to coach our 13U boys competitive team next year and Devon Maquire is that person. Devon has the drive and enthusiasm to take our boys team to the next level." It is open to all boys of all skill levels. The program is being offered to fill the need due to the increase of boys in our programs. Lisa has an extensive coaching record. She as coached at the club, high school and university level. Her coaching and playing experience spans 20 years. James Evans, currently on leave from the club, is anticipated to return in January to coach with Lisa. John has been assistant coach for three different Scorpion teams in the past and has been an integral part of our development program. The Scorpions Boys team ended the season last year with a Provincial Bronze Medal. The boys fought hard placing 2nd in their pool. They defeated the 14U London Forest City the quarter finals and moved on to face the London Forest City 15U team in the semi finals where they lost 25-22, 20-25,7-15.
They played Oxford Crush in the Bronze medal match winning 25-13,28-26.The team is now ranked 7th in Ontario for the upcoming provincical championships. The boys team are: Sam Growden,Nate Lachambre,Matt Sheffield,Matthew Schmidt,Filip Marik, Britton Holman,Liam MacArthur,Sebastian Siedlec,Sean Jackson,Alex Blagojevic and Lenny Lombardi.
