The camps will be held at Jacob Hespeler Secondary School, 150 Holiday Inn Drive, Cambridge, ON. ALL SKILLS CAMP - East Gym Born 2010-2014 -8:30am--11:45am, Born 2009-2007 -12:13pm-3:15pm. The cost will be $150.00. COMPETITIVE PLAYERS CAMP - (if you are on a competitive team in 2021-2022)- West Gym August 8-12th, 2022 - Born 2008-2009-2010 -8:30am-11:30am, Born 2007-2006-2005-2004 - 12:15pm-3:15pm. The cost will be $170.00 The head coach of the All Skills Camp will be former University of Waterloo Warrior Samantha Warner. The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club, is the largest indoor and beach volleyball club in the Waterloo Region Guelph, Brantford, Woodstock and surrounding area. They are pleased to announce their tryout schedule for the upcoming indoor competitive season.
Tryouts will occur:
The tryouts are free. To avoid the long lineups it is strongly recommended you preregister for the tryouts. You can preregister and learn more by going to our Competitive Page at http://www.scorpionsvolleyball.ca/competitive-teams.html . If your son or daughter wants to play on any competitive team, eg: our White teams in the Southwest Volleyball League or our Green and Gold in the Ontario Volleyball Association please come to the tryouts. For our younger ages,(11,12,13, 14U) we are looking for potential in the player, so please do bring them out. NOTE: The Scorpions will also host a Get Ready for Tryouts Camp the week before so players can get prepared for Tryouts. Our coaches will be there to train the players. There are two 1.5hr/2hr sessions on Saturday September 15 and 16th at Monsignor Doyle School. Registration is $20.00 and we will announce soon when the online registration begins for the Camp. Tracy has over 15 years of playing and coaching experience. She has consistently coached the top performing teams for the Scorpions club. They are excellent role models for our young females on the team. The future is bright for our 13U Green team with Megan and Kate as coaches." They both captured two trophies and the gold medal in their age groups. This was a first time in the history of the Scorpions Volleyball Club that teams captured gold on the same day at the same tournament.

Scorpions 15U Team Make History - A City of Cambridge First! The Scorpions 15U Synergy team set a club record and also a first for the City of Cambridge.
The team travelled to Kitchener to play in the Ontario Volleyball Association tournament there. In pool play they disposed of South County Teal in 2 straight sets. They then beat the Kitchener Predators 2 sets to 1. In the quarters final they defeated London Forest City Oaks 2 sets to 1. In the semi finals they defeated beat London LVC Fire in straight sets. They captured GOLD in the Premier Division by defeating the Niagara Rapids also in straight sets. This is the first time in the history of youth competitive volleyball in the City of Cambridge that a team has placed first in the Premier division (the highest division) of Ontario Volleyball Association tournaments. They never lost a set all day capturing the GOLD medal. In Pool Play they beat Kitchener Predators 12u - 25 – 9, 25 – 11, Waterloo Tigers 25 – 13, W 25 – 21. In the quarter finals they disposed of the Guelph Grizzlies Red 25 – 13, 25 – 12. In the semi-finals they stung the Kitchener Predators Infuse 26 – 24, 25 – 23. The final game saw the Scorpions roll over the Guelph Grizzlies Black 25 – 17, 25 – 18. The team is: Delaney Aitken, Parveena Padum, Mia McCracken, Kendra Bryce, Laura Fitero, Ashley VanRooyens, Makaila Squires, Chantal Lapierre, Lily Corkill, Hannah Chambers, absent: Riley Love, Coaches: Andrew Aitken and Lee Boyadjian ANOTHER SCORPIONS MOVE UP TO PREMIER DIVISION! The 14U Scorpions Fuzion Team won a bronze medal in the recent Ontario Volleyball Association held at the Rockway Mennonite College, Kitchener. With the win the Scorpions Team move up to the Premier Division the highest level of youth volleyball in Ontario.
In Pool Play the Scorpions Fuzion defeated Kitchener Predators Impact 25-19, 15-25, 15-13. They then defeated Kitchener Predators Ambush 25-21, 25-22. In the Quarter Finals the Scorpions Fuzion defeated the Guelph Grizzlies 25-4, 25-16. In the semi-finals the Scorpions lost to the Great Whites 22-25, 20-25. The Scorpions needed to win the Bronze medal Match to move up to the Premier Division. They defeated the Kitchener Predators Ambush in straight sets. 25-14, 25-15.
