![]() The Scorpion's Volleyball Club three medals this past weekend in Ontario Volleyball Association Tournaments. First place on the OVA Winter Beach Tour 14U Division went to Paige Owen and Katie Quigley from our 13U team at the event at North Beach in Toronto. ![]() Scorpions Heat 15 U had a Silver Medal Performance on Saturday, February 11th at Conestoga College. The biggest highlight was coming from a 11-4 deficit in the 3rd game against Niagara Rapids to win the semi final game with a score of 15 - 13. Fantastic come back ladies. ![]() At the same tournament as our 15U Heat team at Conestoga College, our 14U Green Team won a Bronze Medal. In a thrilling Bronze medal game they defeated the Niagara Rapids 14u Black Fire W 25-22 (coming back from being down 9-1) W 25-21.

![]() The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club are looking for some new coaches for their indoor, beach,girls and boys development programs. WireService.ca Press Release (02/13/2017) Cambridge, ON - The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club Inc. from Cambridge Ontario has over one thousand youth in their beach and indoor programs combined. The club is looking for new coaches to help in their boys and girls development program for both their indoor and beach season. Coaches receive an honorarium and all required coaching courses are paid for by the club. Paul Langan, founder of Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club states," The foundation and success of our club depends on a strong development program. Coach John Foreman and Coach Bernadine Verstraeten are doing a fantastic job but we need more coaches to help with existing programs. There is also a large demand for more boys and girls indoor and beach programs and we want to meet the needs of our players and the comunity." They won a Silver medal, their 5th medal of the season. The team are on their way to breaking a Scorpions club record for most medals by a team in a season. In Pool Play they beat: Forest city st Thomas express: 25-10, 25-8, and London Fire Intensity: 25-16, 25-15. In the quarter they defeated the London Forest City Blue: 25-11, 25-13. In the semis they defeated Kitchener Predators: 26-24, 25-17 They lost in the finals against the Halton Hurricanes:25-23, 8-25, 5-15 Tournament Medal count so far 13U ova 1 gold, 2 silver, 14u ova 1 bronze ,Non OVA 1 silver The team is Katie Quigley,Jenny Clarke,Maxine Kirkwood,Lauren Matheson,Paige Owen,Emma Murray-Brezynskie,Crimson Biafore,Emma Butler,Payton Mackey,Klare Purfurst,Aliyah Zakhary and Laura Fitero.
