![]() For the second tournament in a row the Scorpions 15U Fuzion has come home with hardware. They won a Silver medal in the Hamilton Smash 16U tournament earlier this month and opened their OVA season on Sunday with a Gold at the 16U tournament in Chatham. In pool play they defeated Sarina Twin Bridges 16U Thunder 25-19, 22-25 and 15-10. This was their only 3 set match of the day as all others fell in straight sets. Next up was LVC Fire 15U Intensity where the Scorpions won 25-19, 25-11. Fuzion was dominant from the service line where they racked up 18 Aces. Fuzion advanced to the Quarter finals against FCVC Green 15U and prevailed with scores of 25-15 and 25-22. They followed up with a Semi final win against 16U SVC Stingers 25-23, 25-23. The final was a rematch against LVC Fire 15U Intensity where the Scorpions Fuzion won 25-17, 25-15 to bring home the Gold! Congratulations to the 15U Scorpions Fuzion!

![]() At their first Ontario Volleyball Association tournament of the season the Scorpions 14U girls team had an impressive performance. In the preliminaries they beat Defensa 25-6,25-13 and the Kitchener Predators B team 25-16, 27-25. In the quarter finals they ended the day of the Guelph Jrs with a 25-9, 25-12 win. In the quarter finals the Scorpions Gold defeated the Kitchener Predators A team 25-23 and 25-18. In the Gold medal game the Scorpion Gold team lost to Mississauga Pakmen in straight sets. The team is Ella Woolcott,Yara Obeidi,Ella Crawford,Calin Gibson,Nisan Aydin,Jadyne Lajeunesse,Rachel Morell,Ivory Noble,Gemma Piraino,Dilyn Harvey, Jenna Elises,Rachel Dufton. Head Coach John Forman, Assistant Coach Megan Bailey. The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club has started off the season in amazing fashion. Today the club captured 3 medals in one day.
The 12U Scorpions Green battled hard beating the Oakville Thunder in the semis and the Milton Edge in the finals to win a GOLD medal in the first Scorpions 12U tournament of the season. The 12U Scorpions Gold had a good day also bowing out in the quarter finals. The 14U Scorpions Gold team won the SILVER medal at the Ontario Volleyball Association in Kitchener, ON. The team defeated Defensa, Guelph Jrs, Kitchener Predators A and B teams before losing in the finals to the Mississauga Pakman. The 14U Scorpions Green team won the BRONZE medal at the OVA tournament in Cambridge ON. They found hard all day finishing the day strongly to win 3rd place. They defeated in straight sets, London Great White Sharks, LVC Ignite, South County Teal and Forest City. Jenna Banz played with the Scorpions Club from 2011 to 2015. She received numerous competitive indoor and beach medals over the years. Jenna and her beach partner Kayla Gallant both started with the club at the same time. Jenna currently attends St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School in Cambridge, ON. Paul Langan, Founder of Scorpions Volleyball Club states, " Jenna has been a dominant player both at the club and secondary school level. She has worked extremely hard to get to the level she is at. Playing in two different preseason tournaments in Ancaster Ontario on Saturday both Scorpion 13U teams received medals. The 13U Boys won the Gold medal in the Ancaster Lions tournament while the 13U Girls won Silver in the Hamilton Smash tournament. The 12U Scorpions girls also finished well in Ancaster with a 3rd and 5th place finish on the day.
