The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club are proud to announce that Mark Morell is returning to coach for the Scorpions Club. Mark previously was responsible for the growth of our boys volleyball program. He will be returning to coach our Monday night development program for those born 2008 and 2009. He also have graciously volunteered to coach our Scorpions 15/14 (Born 2008/2007) Black Competitive Select Team. For those interested in trying out for Mark's Select team here is the info. UPDATE: September 24th, 2021 - SCORPIONS Girls White Team Tryouts - If you do not receive an offer for the teams by Sunday, we would love to invite you to the Scorpions White competitive team tryout. WHEN/WHERE: Wednesday Night, Sept.29th at Heritage College, 175 Holiday Inn Drive Cambridge, ON AGES/TIME: Born 2007 at 6:00-7:30pm and Born 2006 and earlier at 7:30pm-9:00pm Preregistration Required - Free to Tryout. Players/Coaches wear masks, No spectators allowed. The White teams: a) Get one night training with their White competitive team and coach, b) They still register and play in regular development program, (grade 8s Monday night, High School thursday nights) c) Enter into Southwest Tournaments and any other invitational tournaments non-OVA. d) It is competitive volleyball at low cost without the hassles. Tracy has been coaching and playing for over 18 years and is returning for her 9th year to the club. Kelsey Caza is a former Scorpion and University of Waterloo Warrior varsity player that is returning to coach for her 4th year. The Scorpions Club is the largest indoor and beach youth volleyball club in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area. The Scorpions will have Boys and Girls competitive teams from 11u-18u for this indoor season. Tryouts are being scheduled for September. It is important to preregister so the club can identify any athletes interested in attending the tryouts. There is no charge to complete the online preregistration form. Ariel is entering this fifth year coaching with the club and is a former head coach of the Conestoga Condors men's varsity team. Denis is joining Ariel as his assistant. Ashley will be the head coach. She has been playing volleyball for 25 years and is a former University of Windsor Lancer varsity player. She previously coached for the Scorpions in the 2016-2017 season. Lisa Stewart has over 25 yrs playing experience and was the head coach of two Scorpions competitive teams last season. Ashley and Lisa together, with all their experience, will make a great coaching combo for these young athletes."
