End of an Era - Jamie Paquette - The last Original Scorpion from 2010 finishes her club career5/1/2019 ![]() I look upon our first year as a club in 2010 fondly. Coaches, parents and players all took a chance either volunteering or signing up their son or daughter for our 1st Learn to Play program or play on our first competitive team. We were a new club then called Hespeler Scorpions. We were happily surprised in 2010 when around 24 kids signed up for our development program. One of those kids was Jamie Paquette. At our banquet Tuesday, Jamie completed her playing career for our club as an 18U competitive team player. She always played in our competitive indoor and beach programs. She is the last player still in the club from our original group in 2010. Jamie and her mother Kathy have been unwavering in their support of our club. To me loyalty is a very important virtue. Kathy and Jamie have represented the club on and off the court that exceeds our Scorpions Codes of Conduct. As a parent and player they are the gold standard for others to follow. Thank you Jamie and your family for being part of our Scorpions family for 8yrs. Your smile will be missed. Good luck at Trent University in your studies.
