Scorpions Volleyball player Amy Cureton, a 6'4" outside hitter and middle blocker, has signed with the Brock University Badgers women's varsity volleyball team.
WireService.ca Press Release (04/07/2016) Cambridge, ON - The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club is proud to announce that Amy Cureton will be playing varsity volleyball in fall 2016. Amy Cureton, from Cambridge, Ontario, has decided to attend Brock University and accept a scholarship to play for the Brock University Badgers women's team. Amy has played with the Scorpions her whole youth volleyball career. She started in the grade 8 house league program and played competitive up to this year on the 18U Scorpions competitive girls team. Paul Langan, Founder of Scorpions Volleyball Club states, "Amy walked into the gym five years ago a shy young girl. She leaves the club as a leader whose commitment to the team and the club was exceptional. Coach Dale Melnick and the Brock Badgers are getting not only a high quality player but also a person whose understands that loyalty is an important human virtue. We will miss her and her family."
